BASIC ANATOMY, FIGURE DRAWING & SCULPTING THE FIGURE IN CLAY

*Ages 18 and up* (16 and up permitted with Parent/Guardian permission)

Dates/Time: 6 Saturdays, July 9 - August 13, 10:30 - 1:30pm

The best of two long-running figure and anatomy classes have been combined to form a new class! The first three weeks are equivalent time-wise to Paris’ original Basic Anatomy and Figure Drawing class, with the addition of long pose drawing sessions. Nine hours will be spent learning to identify anatomical reference points while rendering dynamic and accurate figure drawings. The last three sessions will be devoted to using these same reference points to construct lively, clay figurative studies. Finished clay sculptures will then be fired to create lasting works of art. Paris will also give a demonstration in patina techniques.

Tuition, materials, model fee and kiln firings: $225 ($205 members/ teachers)
