Basic Anatomy & Figure Drawing
January 13, 20, & January 27
7 - 9pm

In this three-week workshop, students will learn to identify anatomical reference points used to structure and proportion an accurate figure drawing. Students will also use these reference points to render muscle and weight shifts during the posing of live models. Basic drawing techniques and materials will be discussed and demonstrated, as well as a variety of tips and drawing exercises.*Models will wear bathing suits.

Sculpting the Figure in Clay
February 24, March 3, & March 10
7 - 9pm
Instructor: Paris Alexander
Using live models and instruction in the techniques of working in terra-cotta, students will produce a series of small, fired, figurative sculptures. This course will focus on rendering atomically-balanced and lively clay "sketches." *Models will wear bathing suits.
