Panther Creek‘s first graduation class of 2009 has commissioned Paris Alexander to carve the school crest in limestone as a senior gift to the school. The work was completed and installed by the school library entrance.

"Jacob's Ladder" on The CW show ONE TREE HILL, Season 7

Paris Alexander was contracted by Warner Brothers Studios to supply a sculpture for the set of the upcoming
Season 7 of the show One Tree Hill on the CW network.

Outreach Program 2009: Salvation Army

Sculptor Paris Alexander worked with 15 youths (3rd-6th graders) at the Salvation Army on Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC, instructing them in the carving of limestone sculptures, which are assembled into a permanent sculptural installation on the grounds of the Salvation Army.

Paris Alexander's work "Nemesis" was awarded an Honorarium for the Craven Arts Council's Annual Juried 2008 Sculpture Exhibiton in New Bern, NC

Juried by Dr. Lawrence Wheeler, Director of the North Carolina Museum of Art

Here are the comments made by Dr. Lawrence Wheeler to the Craven Arts Council on Nemesis:

"Dr. Lawrence Wheeler our show juror mentioned that he’s known your work for quite some time” and that you “always achieve the mark.” Calling it “original” and “expressive,” he had the feeling that “there’s a figure in there, almost mummified, trying to get out, to live  and breathe free.” He also mentioned how your carved striations in the limestone have great rhythm, “ saying, he loves “the technical inventiveness” with which you carve."

This carved limestone work was installed at the Robert and Joan Beber Scultpure garden at Duke University School of Law.

Outreach Programs
Paris Alexander worked with the students of Hope Elementary Charter School in Raleigh, NC to create stone reliefs for the school which was installed on the school grounds.
